- You are a man eminently inventive with several other unique patents in the past. How did the idea of creating such an original product come up?

My profession is engineer - electronic high-tech equipment, which means that I am constantly looking for solutions to problems (malfunction, damage, etc.). Thus my line is directly related to the idea of Aquasafebag and other unique patents I have in the 'drawer', but due to excessive vesting patenting and implementation costs it can not be materialized. In Greece and especially that of the crisis, it is now very difficult to create something from scratch.

- Is AquaSafe Bag is reusable or not?

Of course it can be reused as many times as desired, simply by changing the ampule pneumatic co2 (which are available commercially), or by blowing with the mouth valve.

- How easy is it for a Greek inventor to patent a product today?

It is quite difficult, primarily because it is highly expensive, especially if one intends to patent something universally. Besides it takes much time and expertise.

- Why would someone choose AquaSafe Bag; What do you think are the advantages?

At first there is no choice since the Aquasafebag is unique worldwide. The Aquasafebag contains a waterproof casing in which is mounted a special plastic bag that seals tightly (triple protection) allowing us to put our personal belongings (mobile, keys, money, etc.) inside, protecting them from the water. Also with our Aquasafebag we are given the opportunity to feel constantly safe swimming and not only, because in any case of emergency, panic, fear or sickness, we can simply pull the small cord, that opens in only one second a powerful life-jacket that can help us and those around us. It is an essential accessory for lovers of the sea, the vessels (recreational, sailing, fishing, inflatable etc), bathers on beaches, organized beaches, swimming pools, fishing, water sports and lifeguards.

-Is there a response from the world? From any foreign operations?

It's been four years since the idea of Aquasafebag. Last year we were able to release it on the market, but now we have the opportunity to build in Greece, while at the same time we have started discussing arrangements within and outside the Greek borders. Reactions from last summer have been higher than our expectations which by the way is giving us the opportunity to thank the world for this positive response. We are already developing the next model of Aquasafebag that will be sufficiently enhanced compared to the existing one.

- Success therefore despite the crisis. How did you achieve this?

We must always face our life with humor, perhaps there lies the key to success. Perseverance is also crucial, since as we have said one faces many difficulties, which they should be prepared to overcome.
